Originally from the Nantes region of France, Alexandre earned a Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences from the University of Nantes, subsequently completing a Master's degree in Biology and Health at ICES. During his research internships at the Institut du Thorax (INSERM U1087, Nantes), he investigated the role of O-GlcNAcylation in the mechanisms of endothelial injury following cardiovascular shock.
He is currently pursuing his PhD at the CRCHUM under the supervision of Professor Marie-Josée Hébert. His research focuses on the mechanisms of endothelial dysfunction involved in kidney injury and transplantation. Outside of the laboratory, Alexandre has played basketball for many years. He trained in a competitive development programme before competing at national level. He also enjoys hiking, skiing and other outdoor activities and is looking forward to exploring Montreal and the incredible landscapes that Quebec has to offer. |
